Learning About Living Things-Unit 4 : Plants

Plants Need The  Right Amount Of Water


1) Plants need the right amount of water for healthy growth.
2) Seeds will not grow if there is no water.
3) Plants wilt and die if they do not get enough water.
4) However, too much water may kill the plant.             
5) When plants grow, they become bigger, taller and have more leaves.



Flowering Plants Produce New Plants

1) Flowering plants produce flowers, fruits and seeds.
2) Young plant is called a seeding.
3) Flowering plants produce seeds which can grow into new plants.

Learnig About Living Things - Unit 3 : Animals

What animals need to live?

Tiger eats meat









Monkey eats young plant
Cow eats grass










1) Animals need food to keep them alive.
2) Animals need water to keep them alive. They can only live for a few days without water.
3) Animals need air from their surroundings.
4) If there no air, they will die.


Different Kinds of Food That Animals Need

1) Different animals eat different kinds of food.
2) Animals cannot make their own food.
3) Animals need food to give them energy and to grow.
4) Some animals eat other animals. We called them animal eaters.
 Snakes, leopards, crocodiles and eagles are examples of these animals.

5) Some animals eat plants. They eats grass, fruits, seeds and leaves. We called them plant   
    eaters.
    Giraffes, horses, sheep and deer are examples of these animals.

6) Some animals eat both plants and other animals. We called them plant and animal eaters. Chickens, bears, ducks and cats are examples of these animals.

Animals Change As They Grow

1) All animals grow.
2) Animals can grow bigger and heavier as they grow.
3) Animals change as they grow.
4) Some baby animals look like their parents.

5) Some baby animals do not look like their parents.
6) Baby animals that do not look like their parents grow through different stages.

A larva is a baby mosquito. A larva does not look like a mosquito.

A caterpillar is a baby butterfly. A caterpillar does not look like a butterfly.

A tadpole is a baby frog. A tadpole does not look like a frog.

1) We are humans.
2) We need food and water to stay alive.
3) We can do a lot of things if we get enough food and water.
