1. There are many things around us.
2. Humans, plants and animals are things.
3. We are humans.
4. We can list things that we see.

1. The earth consists of living things and non-living things.
2. Examples of living things: cow, duck, baby, and coconut tree.
3. Examples of non-living things: stone, water, bag, and paper.

What Living Things Do?

Living things:

a) need food and water
- food and water give energy and nutrient to keep them alive.

A cat is eating

b) breathe
- humans, plants and animals need air to breathe.

A fish is breathing
c) move
- animals move. Plants only move certain parts.

A frog is jumping

d) grow
    - they can grow bigger, taller and heavier.

A balsam plant is growing

e) Produce young
     -animals can produce young. Plants can grow new plants.
